What Is The Fruit of the Spirit?
Galatians 5:22-23
God's Spirit makes us loving, joyful, peaceful, pa:ent, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways.
When someone accepts Jesus into their heart, there is often an unrealistic expectation that they will immediately live like a seasoned Christian. However, new believers need guidance and nurturing; too often, they are left to fend for themselves. Seasoned believers also need a daily reminder to live more intentionally in the character of Jesus.
Jesus provided clear instructions in Galatians 5:22-23, offering a seamless way to integrate His nine characteristics into our daily habits. This helps transform the lifestyle of believers desiring a new way of life. Branch to Hope makes this possible by reminding us to focus on one of the nine Fruit of the Spirit each day.
This is the heart of our Branch to Hope ministry.
We should expect to see a different lifestyle emerging from the lives of followers of Christ, evidenced by the Fruit of the Spirit. This distinctiveness connects us as brothers and sisters adopted into the family of God when we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us.
The characteristics of Jesus are grounded in His selfless love—a way of life that focuses on others without expecting anything in return. Love is the core value that branches out into the other characteristics:

LOVE
RED DAY
❤️ Love is the foundation of character by loving unconditionally.

JOY
BLUE DAY
💙 Joy exudes inner confidence and a spirit that all is well with our souls.

PEACE
GREEN DAY
💚 Peace results from trusting God, remaining unaffected by life's storms, and maintaining spiritual calm.

PATIENCE
PINK DAY
💗 Patience is the ability to wait on God's perfect timing, even when nothing seems to be happening, with the assurance that He is always working behind the scenes for our good and His glory.

KINDNESS
YELLOW DAY
💛 Kindness involves seeking ways to be kind to everyone, even in challenging and awkward situations with difficult people.

GOODNESS
BROWN DAY
🤎 Goodness carries a spirit of right living, which is highly respected and honored.

FAITHFULNESS
PURPLE DAY
💜 Faithfulness is enduring trust, depending on God in all things, even beyond our understanding.

KINDNESS
SILVER DAY
🩶 Gentleness is confident humility, not weakness, but surrendering to God's control in every situation instead of insisting on our own way.

SELF-CONTROL
ORANGE DAY
🧡 Self-control encapsulates the other traits, requiring a supernatural spirit of control that submits our will to the Master’s guidance, ensuring our words and actions align with the character of Jesus.
Living out the character of Jesus does not go unnoticed. The influence we spread through the seeds we scatter along our daily journey will result in a harvest of lives transformed by Jesus' care. We are assured in Matthew 7:16 that we will be identified by our character choices, for “we will be known and know them by their fruit.”

Would you like to change your life and those around you?
There's a seamless way with the Branch to Hope App.
You will receive a notification to Pause and Pray at 1:11 each day, with an encouragement to seek out the daily color throughout the day, along with a reminder to weave one of the 9 Fruits of the Spirit into your lifestyle—the characters of Jesus, found in Galatians 5:22-23.
For example, when you see the color 💛 YELLOW💛 throughout the day, you are reminded to create opportunities to be KIND.
The color 💙 BLUE 💙 reminds you to be more JOYful, followed by 💚 GREEN💚 with an encouragement to be more PEACEful.
This cycle continues for nine days before starting again.
They say it takes 21 days to make a habit. Therefore, practicing the 9 Fruits of the Spirit x 21 days = 189 days. Within six months, you will be living more in the character of Jesus and begin seeing changes in your lifestyle, and as a result, a change in those around you.
Join us, make a game of it, and see how the power of change can ignite a movement of change across our land. Together, we can make a difference.
